Posts: 2 These days everyone has continuous build systems that run
shell scripts to build software from a version control system like SVN or Git.
On Mac, I am able to use rbidescript and it works great. I haven't tried Linux
but I'm assuming it would work since they're both unix-derivatives. On Windows
I cannot get rbidescript to work. I know Aaron Ballman talked about this in a
previous thread, but can we get some work on this from the RealSoftware folks?

Being able to build a project run a cmd.exe or bash shell is pretty much
industry standard.

Thanks!

Ben

Location: USA Do you have the Studio version of REALbasic? I
believe that's required to use the RB IDE's scripting system.
If you have the Studio version, that should work on all 3 systems.

Yes I have the studio version.

It looks like it uses unix type paths in IDECommunicator.

There's also this comment:

// Relative path; jam it onto the current working directory.
// ToDo: find a way to accomplish this on Windows, or get
// this feature added to REALbasic.

I've also built and tried to modify the RBIDEScript project with no luck.

Thanks,
Ben
