<http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?t=34371> Page 1 of 1 [ 5 posts ] Previous topic | Next topic Author Message zyrex Post subject: wont build because i changed the name?Posted: Wed Jun 23, 2010 5:49 pm Joined: Tue Mar 09, 2010 9:47 pm Posts: 13 my program i am making is almost finished. i noticed the obvious name that i missed. the default "Window1". i changed the "Window1" title to the service i provide and then i renamed the window itself. now wheneverr i try to run or build the application, it gives me this debug error: type: PropVal, location: mainscreen.Name (property value), Issue: There are several items with this name and it is not clear which one the call refers to., Name : mainscreen when i click the error to locate it, it brings up the code editor for the main window which i renamed mainscreen. and there is nothing there and nothing for me to change. i cant even type code. please help me with any details or suggestions Top wbgookin Post subject: Re: wont build because i changed the name?Posted: Wed Jun 23, 2010 6:48 pm Joined: Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:44 am Posts: 114 I had a similar issue when I had a menu named the same as one of my image files I'd dragged into the IDE. I changed the name of the menu and things got better. Does it work if you change the name to something like frmMain? A very mysterious function indeed. Sorry...no clue. It sounds like something has corrupted your project to me (pure speculation). I'd try saving it as xml and then opening that. Or perhaps as rbvcp and then opening that. Maybe some of that would help RB fix itself?
