Apparently the "Copy Plain Text" add-on for Firefox doesn't work with Firefox 3.6.8. I'm trying to make an equivalent with REALbasic (or at least something with RB that will make copying formatted text without formatting easier to do, if that makes sense). I can copy selected text with formatting from Firefox to the clipboard. (I'm using Windows, by the way, if that makes a difference.) I'm guessing (but it's only a guess) that the easiest way to go would be to write something in RB that will get the formatted text from the clipboard, change it to unformatted text, and put the unformatted text back on the clipboard. But, if so, what is the best way to do this? (For example, what kind of GUI do I use? Or do I necessarily need one?)
