Location: Middlebury, CT Hi,

I am using a Placard to put some controls on as a holder over some text boxes.
The problem is that when you click on the textboxes, they show through the
placard. It is not opaque. I am using RB 2010 R1 Mac. It works find when
compiled to Mac, but when you run it on Windows the textbox controls show
through. Here is an image:

Is there anyway to fix this? The controls are arranged so that the placard in
moved to the front. I searched the forum and someone else had the same
problem, but it does not look like it was ever resolved.

I just need a placeholder to put some radio buttons in that is opaque to the
rest of the controls.

Any ides would be appreciated.

I have seen this as well, but in your case, I would just put your search
criteria into a separate window and open that window to allow selecting the
desired options instead of trying to get it all done within the same window.

An alternative would be to disable the rest of the controls that you see
'bleeding' through when you show the placard, and re-enable them when you are
done. I don't believe that disabled controls will exhibit the behavior that you
are seeing.

to simulate another window, why don’t you just use an actual window?
