Posts: 29 Microsoft in it's infinite wisdom decided to change
the location of Network Places to My Computer instead of Network. When working
with XP or Server 2003 the saved Network places locations would show up in the
SelectFolderDialog. This is handy because the SelectFolderDialog does not allow
one to type in a UNC path for a server\share that does not appear in the
browser, (servers not on the same Subnet or domain, servers on trunked VLANs,
etc). Unfortunately even though I can a add network location by adding a
network place in My Computer but these items refuse to show up in a
SelectFolderDialogn under My Computer.

Is this a known bug in REALStudio 2011r2? Is there a different workaround to
see servers that do not show up in SelectFolderDialog?

It appears that using dlg.InitialDirectory=SpecialFolder.NetworkPlaces is also
broken since it takes one to
Userfolder\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts which is where
the shortcuts for the NetworkPlaces are stored but the shortcuts do not show in
the SelectFolderDialog.

Any thoughts on what I could do different would be appreciated.
