Let's say for example you where to create an API... you will need to send your user's this link "http://example.com/appname.cgi/special/" don't you find that a bit too much length? And how would you like your API users to tell that they need to have "/special/" in the url. They won't understand and it doesn't look professional. Last time we heard that "appname.cgi/framework/" was used by the framework itself, but there are like a billion-billion-billion (etc etc) possibilities other than "/framework/" so why must this be limited to "/special/"+"any/path/here" ? My idea to the RS framework will be: - The RS framework (app) first checks that the user does not directly call's the "/framework/" path if it does ask for it directly, then RS should show a 404 (with out the commercial last line "Powered by: Real Studio Integrated Web Server 1.0") - If it's not there then you have a shorter (api) URL and it looks more professional. The proposal, is just for information to you. A feedback report will be made, if there is not 1 already. Still i want to know how you as an RS Web Edition user thinks about the current situation. Many thanks in advance, SWORT _________________ SWORT⢠- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Linux Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and iMac OSX 27" - REAL Studio Enterprise(latest) and WEB Edition(latest) - Plugins (almost all) For Dutch User Groups ask me to enter!
