Im using the data available function with the serial port to fire and then reading the buffer into a memory block. I have looked at and tryed lots of differents ways of (threads etc) getting the data from the port but really carnt get it to go any quicker. The data is arriving very quickly so I dont have much time to process the data before the next packet of bytes arrive - Im trying to simulate a hardware control panel which works with a PIC microcontroller. Im using a new version of RB just wondering if anybody else has had problems or a ultra quick method of getting 25 bytes of data out of the serial buffer and processing this info. Replys much appreciated Alan Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
