I am creating a Pop-up menu, how can I display text in a TextArea when a
menuitem is highlighted (not selected)?
I already know how to handle the menuitem when it is selected.
Thanks.

Posts: 436 OK, here is some more details...

I have a Pop-Up menu, it works well, no problem, but what I want is that when
the menu is displayed, when a menuitem is highlighted (not clicked) the tag is
displayed in the TextArea1.

Currently, what happens is that I have to click on the menuitem then the tag is
displayed in the text area.

I am not sure that I am explaining it correctly, so I have uploaded the project
so that you can see what I mean.

It can be downloaded here...

Is what I am trying to do possible?

Thanks again.

because I can see where that might be handy to do..
But it seems that none of the events of a Popup Menu will fire ONCE the menu is
exposed, other than CHANGE

Priort to the MOUSEDOWN, all the other events (MouseMove etc) do fire...

So it looks like this cannot be done as there is no exposed event, nor anyway
that I can see to create an exposed event.

When the mouse goes over the menuitem the menuitem is highlighted.

If, somehow, at the time of that highlighting of the menuitem the tagging of
the menuitem into TextArea1 could be executed, then it would be possible, but
my knowledge is lacking.

looking for.... and there is no exposed event to capture that happening.

So in a word. No it cannot be done.... at least not with the Standard RS
supplied popup menu.
