Posts: 21 The last part of the my test before deciding if I am
going to complete a project using RB [WE] is deploying to the likely server. I
did some basic testing and it was not good.

Centos 6.2

App CGI

I am getting a Gateway Timeout when trying to execute the script:

localhost/cgi-bin/webpdf/webpdf.cgi
Challenge 1
First I completed using standalone executable, just to make sure the app works
(There was one library tweak for the fpdf and it worked)

Challenge 2, access denied: on config.cfg. This was caused by SELINUX and
basic file permissions. Change to 777 permissions, still got the error until I
put SELinux into permissive mode.
Challenge 3, Unable to start port....: Set Auto_port=0 Port=80
Challenge 4, Now is just looks like it doing something then it gives me the
"Gateway Time-out"

FYI:
code is compiled on the same box and just copied to the folder
for the most part, this box is a fresh install
files are under /var/ww/cgi-bin are 777 config.cfg, 755 for app and cgi and libs
apache test page works localhost/
I don't want to play with FastCGI until CGI is working.

some errors I see:

One thing I noticed is on Linux, it made the libraries folder "webpdf Libs" but
on the mac cgi it made it "Libs".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Posts: 21 The OS is i386, didn't think I needed the 32bit, it's
not 64bit.

If I am wrong, what packages do you think I am missing?

Thank you.

Thank you, but the ia32-libs package appears to be for Debian distros. I
already installed the compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686.

I know Centos 6.2 is pretty new. Not to start a Holy War, but I prefer Red
Hat/Centos. Do you think Centos 5/RH5 works?
