querie re: adding pictures
http://forums.realsoftware.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44741. All is working fine 
now but I have another problem with pictures, hence a new thread.
When I add a picture it adds up to 11kb to the database file size depending on 
the size and quality chosen. Trouble is when you delete the picture the 
database doesn't reduce in size. I know in other databases such as Access there 
is a compress option which cleans up empty allocations. Does SQLite have this?
My only working option at present is to give the user a compress command which 
runs a function to create an identical database and copy everything across, 
ommitting empty fields before deleting the original.
A risky piece of code I'm not proud of but it does reduce the file size again.
