I am having difficulty opening a double clicked file on Windows. The code is working correctly on Mac. On either platform, the app is correctly referenced as the owner of the file. The problem seems to be that on windows, the FolderItem passed to OpenDocument event is empty. Checking the folder item properties on Mac, I see that the absolute path of the file is Macintosh HD:Applications:MyAppName:MyFileName The file which was double clicked is, in fact, located at SpecialFolder.ApplicationData.Child("COS").Child("Quizzes").Child(myFileName) The file, however, opens correctly as I would expect. But when tried on Windows, the folderitem passed to OpenDocument has an empty absolute path and, of course, the file fails to open. Can anyone shed some light for me on how this path shows the application as the parent of the folderitem on Mac and why it shows nothing on Windows. _________________ Roger Clary Class One Software Educational Software for Lifelong Learning http://www.classonesoftware.com Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
