This is because the need for the progress bar is in a form where the user can perform a process that will affect thousands of assets; however, the process depends on multiple methods and properties of the form. I would have to move all of this code and properties to another method in order to call it from the thread in the progress bar and this could take days if not weeks to retro fit. So I'm looking for an alternative elegant way to provide feedback to the user that there is something going on besides just changing the cursor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
