Question: Has anyone successfully done a HTTP POST with a binary file? Even
more specifically: has anyone done it with Parse.com?

I've been banging my head trying to find any projects, examples, anything on
doing a HTTP POST with a binary file. I've also tried unsuccessfully using
CURLMBS (and would purchase it -- and this Real Studio demo -- if I could get
it to do what I need to do).

There should be a ParseSocket i've made on github for RealBasic.
You can use it, and request functions. If requested on github then i will try
to update.
Others can help, if they want to help build the class.

download here:

Matt,

i can give you access to the ParseSocket to be collaborator.
As sharonn0 is already helping. You can do the same.

This way we can update classes easy and you can post them in your lib utility!

Location: Boiling Springs, SC Here is the demo as requested of
how to post to a web application. You can also post to any other web language
such as python, php, perl, etc. I know you requested how to post binary..but
text works the same as well...

Download: http://www.realstudiodevspot.com/demos/WEPostBinary.zip

Included:

**A desktop version 'select a file' and "upload" client
**A web edition acceptor for the posted file

You can develop the naming scheme yourself...in the web edition example it
saves a png file you select with the 'desktop posting utility' to the web
edition application directory called "test.png"...you can change this to
whatever

**If you would like the full un-encrypted source to the desktop posting utility
please inbox me.

Otherwise:
See "Post Binary Data to HttpSocket" found in the Real Studio Developer's
Library to see how to create a method to multipart post to a socket.
