Posts: 1 I am working on a font that imitates handwritten text.
It contains a great many different lines to link the letters, and I stored
those in the Greek and Russian sections of the font (Unicode 03xx en 04xx).
I’m using RP to build an application that inserts these Greek and Russian
“letters” in between the Latin ones, so that the text can be displayed in
my handwriting font. I’m using a TextArea to do so.
In the Mac version of my application everything works and looks as expected.
But I cannot get the Windows version to properly display the text (neither in
XP nor in Windows 7). When I use a TrueType version of my font, the links
appear as shadowy Greek and Russian letters, and when I use an OpenType version
the links are displayed but they get too much space, and the bottom part of
Latin letters that reach below the base line, like the p and the g, is not
shown at all. The same text looks alright in a Windows word processor so
Windows is able to use my font as intended …
Any suggestions?
I'd be most grateful …
