At this rate, renewing until these features are available (if past performance is indicative of likely future results) might just exceed the cost of a new license anyway. Cocoa and a new IDE mean zilch to me, so why bother renewing? _________________ Boredom Software Top swort Post subject: Re: So no new IDE until next yearPosted: Tue Nov 13, 2012 9:52 pm Joined: Mon May 31, 2010 5:35 am Posts: 2241 Location: Netherlands charonn0 wrote:I'm basically going to wait until things like LLVM, 64 bit, single-file executables are available before renewing. Cocoa and a new IDE mean zilch to me, so why bother renewing? Because it means: - no access to betas anymore - no up to date opensource classes for others - can't help others if you don't have latest version - getting behind on projects and future needs Getting late sucks nomatter what, where and when. Time for a well deserved discount or long wait perhaps after all... _________________ SWORT⢠- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux Mint 11 and Mac OSX Lion - REAL Studio Enterprise(latest) and WEB Edition(latest) - Plugins (MBS Complete, ToringoLib, Einhugur, VanHoek + Some open source plugins) For Dutch User Groups ask me to enter! Sorry by it's pointed to extentions using the "new" framework parts... that might be coming. _________________ SWORT⢠- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux Mint 11 and Mac OSX Lion - REAL Studio Enterprise(latest) and WEB Edition(latest) - Plugins (MBS Complete, ToringoLib, Einhugur, VanHoek + Some open source plugins) For Dutch User Groups ask me to enter! There are some much-requested framework features added in 2012r2. _________________ Thom McGrath - @tekcor Web Framework Architect, Real Software, Inc. I said additions to the framework. Stuff you might want to take advantage of. _________________ Thom McGrath - @tekcor Web Framework Architect, Real Software, Inc. Until then any errors under a newer compiler will either be in my code and therefore fixable, or they won't. _________________ Boredom Software Top Thom McGrath Post subject: Re: So no new IDE until next yearPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2012 1:00 am Site Admin Joined: Tue May 06, 2008 1:07 pm Posts: 1225 Location: Greater Hartford Area, CT charonn0 wrote:At which point, renewing would then become worthwhile. Right. Although we'd love everybody to just fork over cash all the time, it's really not what we expect. We expect you to buy what you like. If you're satisfied with what you have and our new releases don't offer something worthwhile to you, don't renew. If they do, go right ahead. _________________ Thom McGrath - @tekcor Web Framework Architect, Real Software, Inc. Does this mean that the Carbon Build option will still be there and would have to be selected? (ie.. just like now, except Cocoa will be selected by default instead of Carbon) _________________ Dave Sisemore MacPro, OSX Lion 10.7.4 RB2012r1 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top Thom McGrath Post subject: Re: So no new IDE until next yearPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2012 1:48 am Site Admin Joined: Tue May 06, 2008 1:07 pm Posts: 1225 Location: Greater Hartford Area, CT DaveS wrote:Does this mean that the Carbon Build option will still be there and would have to be selected?
