Posts: 506 I've noticed what seems to be a bug in the RS naming
scheme when using the IDE to select picture names when assigning them to
canvases' backdrops.

It appears that when the picture's names start with numbers or an underscore
character RS ignores those characters (it honors alphabetical characters).

That means problems if you label and categorize your images like this :
2011_ferrari_model_a.jpg
2012_ferrari_model_a.jpg
2013_ferrari_model_a.jpg

Because REAL Studio will name them in the IDE as :
ferrari_model_a.jpg
ferrari_model_a1.jpg
ferrari_model_a2.jpg

That's lame.

A closer look seems that you can rename all of your images so they don't have
an underscore or numeric value before an alphabetical value and RS seems to
preserve the name correctly, like this :

ferrari_model_a_2011.jpg
ferrari_model_a_2012.jpg
ferrari_model_a_2013.jpg

Has anyone else noticed this?

limitation on all names in RS, not just pictures. All names in RS must start
with an alphabetic character, numbers and underscores can be used for any other
part of the name, but the first one must be a letter.
