Posts: 3                Hi All,

Have trawled the forums and user guides and cannot get my head around how to do
the following - any assistance most appreciated!

I would like a user to be able to select a 'save to' folder via UI dialog - got
this bit - but then thereafter, as I loop through a piece of logic, I'd like to
store other information in the same folder, obviously using different
filenames, without prompting the user to confirm each time.

I feel this should be easy, but how do I use the same FolderItem over and over,
but change the filename I want to save to each time?

Any pointers appreciated!

Cheers,
CH

Location: Portland, OR USA Say you get a FolderItem, f, from
the dialog. Use its Parent to get the enclosing folder, and Child to get
another folderitem in that folder.

dim f2 as FolderItem
f2 = f.Parent.Child("foo.txt")
