Location: Portland, OR  USA                Define "best".  Best in terms of 
conservation of space?  That's probably the hardest to program.  Best in terms 
of ease of programming?  Which do you want?

There are at least 3 approaches:
1) Save it as a binary string in a Blob column.
2) HexEncode it and save it as a string.
3) Base64Encode it and save it as a string.

Each has pluses and minuses.  None are completely wrong or right.  Choose the 
one you're most comfortable with.
