I've only ever written GUI apps and controls but am working on a console app for Mac/Linux. Whenever I try to run my (very simple) test console app the IDE hangs, breakpoints don't execute and the whole thing is a bit of a disaster. Am I doing something really fundamentally wrong or can console apps not be debugged? _________________ Gorgeous REALbasic controls from Figa Software | My Flickr | My Blog 11" MacBook Air 1.8Ghz i7, 4GB RAM, OSX 10.8.2, RB 2012 r1.1 Pro | iPhone 4S 32GB | Nikon D60 Top timhare Post subject: Re: Debugging Console Applications in the IDEPosted: Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:13 pm Joined: Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:21 pm Posts: 11821 Location: Portland, OR USA You should be able to debug console apps just like any other app. I've never had a problem with it. Just tried one. Put some code in app.Run, set a breakpoint and hit Run. It stopped at the breakpoint and allowed me to step through the code.
