Location: Germany, Europe During the last few days I tried to
get familiar with code signing for multi-platform apps (OS X, Windows,
Unix/Linux optional). However, I'm not sure if I understand the entire process,
so perhaps someone more experienced can answer my questions:

So far, I found two solutions:

1. From http://www.realsoftwareblog.com/2012/08 ... ps-on.html :

Is it correct that there is nothing else required than an Apple Developer
membership to sign OS X apps ? Or is it still necessary to buy a third party
code signing certificate from an issuer ?

I guess that this way is working for OS X only and the Apple certificate can't
be used to sign Windows apps (well, it's worth to try asking ?

2. From http://support.realsoftware.com/listarc ... 01012.html :

Basically I would prefer to go that way. While it seems to be more expensive,
it also covers the Windows platform. But is this guide from 2010 still valid ?
As far as I understood, this allows code signing apps for OS X and Windows. How
about signing Unix/Linux apps ?
Do you have some recommendations for cheap certificates ?

Thank you for your efforts. I'm looking forward your comments,
Tobias.
