The Unicode value for the eighth note is a hexadecimal 266A. The following shows the code for the eighth note, sunray, and copyright characters that you showed in your posting. I use the Character Viewer on my Mac to find the characters and get their Unicode values to use. The UTF8 portion of the code just makes sure that they are converted to UTF8 to be consistent with the RS default encoding. EighthNote = Encodings.UTF8.Chr(&h266A) SunWithRays = Encodings.UTF8.Chr(&h263C) CopyRight = Encodings.UTF8.Chr(&hA9) Note one thing, Macs are pretty good at substituting another font if the font you are using does not contain the desired character. I do believe on Windows or Linux you must be sure that the font you are using contains the characters desired.
