Location: Antwerp, Belgium                Hi all,

I have an Oracle 11g database server to which I want to connect.
I installed the Oracle client tools, configured a TNSNAMES.ORA file with Oracle
Net Configuration Assistant and I am able to connect with this config in
SQL*Plus. But whenever I want to connect from within my application I get the
following error message:

"Some Oracle symbols are not found. Look in the console for more information."

I don't know where to find the console.

Here is the code I use to connect:

Dim db As New OracleDatabase

db.DatabaseName = "TNSNAME" ' created as a TNSNAME.ORA file
db.UserName = "USERNAME"
db.Password = "PASSWORD"

If Not db.Connect Then
  MsgBox db.ErrorMessage
Else
  MsgBox "Connected"
End If

The reference says something like 'The Oracle OCS client 9i or later must be
installed.'. But I guess I have that installed. I couldn't really find OCS
client (Google finds an Oracle Outlook Connector)

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Michael
