I have an application that checks to see if it is the latest version, if it is not it launches the updater application. The updater updates the application and relaunches it. My problem is that I want the main program to not only check if it needs an update, but also if the updater app needs an update. But while it is easy to check the version of the current application--(str(app.MajorVersion)+"."+str(app.MinorVersion)+"."+str(app.BugVersion)) --i don't know how to check the version of the updater application. I can get it into a folderitem, but the folderitem class doesn't support getting a program's version number.
