Posts: 4 I'm in the early stages of a web edition project and am
getting frequent error messages like below when opening a webDialog containing
textfields, popupmenus and checkboxes. Running Mac OS X with RB 2012r2. This
happens on both Safari 6.0.2 & Firefox 17.0.1.

Does anyone have an idea what would cause this?
Thanks!

Could not execute returned javascript: 'null' is not an object (evaluating
'this.object().children')

Location: Netherlands I suspect your using ExecuteJavascript
somewhere or some code is not in the right order.

Perhaps it will help you once your understand the basics around the browser and
the server part.
RS Web Edition is actually both in 1. Where you code on the server side,
manipulating the client.

One tip:
- NEVER use the "Open" event to change client side content, use the "Shown"
event for this.

It's very common to make a mistake about this, as the "Open" event in Desktop
Edition can be used to manipulate the UI.
In Web Edition that's a little bit different, as the Open event tells the
Server-Side is ready, but not the Client-Side (browser).

Posts: 4 Thanks, SWORT! I'm pretty sure I have some code in the
Open event. I'll try moving it to Shown.
