Posts: 129 I have created an application to retrieve data coming
in from a Blue Tooth device.
When I pair the Device with my PC it creates 2 ports, and outbound and inbound
port.
I need to connect to the outbound com port in code. I use the Serial control to
connect to the outbound port.
On my Win7 machine the outbound port is always the 1st port, but on XP the 2nd
port is the outbound port, so it is not consist between OS's. I can't find a
registry entry that allows me to distinguish if the com port is inbound or
outbound, it just tells me that the 2 are blue tooth ports.
Does anyone know how to lookup via code if the port is an inbound or outbound
port?

Also, sometime on XP it doesn't release the port, what is the best way to
release the port.

Thanks
