I can't run/debug Console apps from the IDE any more. I can create a new Console App and then attempt to Run from the IDE. The IDE looks like it is compiling, but never finishes. I ended up with the Mac spinning cursor and a frozen IDE for about 3-4 minutes then eventually it wants me to submit a feedback report with the following Exception Message: Cannot use a ContainerControl as the parent for Window.ShowModalWithin Stack Trace: RuntimeExceptionErrorNumberGetter RuntimeShowWithinWindow Window.ShowWithin%%o<Window>o<Window>i4 DebuggerUI.DebuggerUI.StartNewProcessTimer_Action%%o<DebuggerUI.DebuggerUI>o<Timer> Delegate.IM_Invoke%%o<Timer> AddHandler.Stub.0%% TimerRemoveActionNotificationReceiver TimerRemoveActionNotificationReceiver DecodeBackslashEscapeString Delegate.Invoke%% Application._CallFunctionWithExceptionHandling%%o<Application>p DecodeBackslashEscapeString DecodeBackslashEscapeString RuntimeRun REALbasic._RuntimeRun _Main % main I can build the app and launch it from Finder and it works as expected. As this is a console app, why is the framework referencing a container control or other GUI controls? This occurs with an empty console app -- absolutely no GUI being adding by me. The only plugins installed at the moment are MySQL and PostgreSQL. Running GUI or WebApps from the IDE still work as expected. Problem is limited to Console Apps. I'm running RealStudio 2012R2 on Mac OS X 10.8.2. Has anyone else seen this or have any suggestions? Killing it and then relaunching the IDE resolved the issue, at least for the moment.
