Location: University Of Calgary, Faculty Of Medicine If a string
in a file is delimited by either a 0x00 or 0x00, 0x00 (depending on the text
encoding), what method can I call to read till the 0x00 0r 0x00 0x00 is
encountered?

I don't have a byte count so calling read(count , encoding) isn't going to
work, calling readline(encoding) won't stop until (i presume) a 'new line'
character is encountered.

A simple loop until the end of string (0x00) is encountered could be written if
you can determine the number of bytes per character for the particular
encoding. How would you do this?
