I've created a module that uses OpenSSL on my server to encrypt stuff in my MySQL database. (dont' have a license for r2 with the Crypto class..). If I have a field with some text and call my module to encrypt its content, is the text sent to the server app in clear text prior to beeing encrypted? I guess it is cuz it's the server that calls OpenSSL.. Is it the same with the new Crypto class? _________________ http://www.linkedin.com/in/albinkiland Dev. iMac 27" + 2x22" LG (2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM, 120GB SSD) OS X 10.8 REAL.Studio Web Edition 2011r3 Top Thom McGrath Post subject: Re: Text sent i clear text?Posted: Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:17 am Site Admin Joined: Tue May 06, 2008 1:07 pm Posts: 1323 Location: Greater Hartford Area, CT Yes _________________ Thom McGrath - @tekcor Web Framework Architect, Real Software, Inc. It's a client-side encryption thingy _________________ http://www.linkedin.com/in/albinkiland Dev. iMac 27" + 2x22" LG (2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM, 120GB SSD) OS X 10.8 REAL.Studio Web Edition 2011r3 Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 5 posts ]
