When I ckick on a character in the string I can enter 1 character at the point where the cursor is but then my curser jumps to before the first character in the string. I know txtEnteringItemWanted.SelStart = intAA will put the curser where I want it in the miiddle of the text string; if I can just find the correct value for intAA. Can anyone give me the code to find the value of intAA. (Where the cursor is when I enter a letter in the middle of the string) Thanks Dave _________________ I'm using windows 7 (64 bit) and Real Studio 2012,r1.2 (Romans 10:9-10) Top ktekinay Post subject: Re: How do I find the curser location in the textArea stringPosted: Wed Jan 16, 2013 1:12 pm Joined: Mon Feb 05, 2007 5:21 pm Posts: 360 Location: New York, NY SelStart will give you what want, but if the cursor jumps, it means that you have code elsewhere that is changing SelStart as you type. _________________ Kem Tekinay MacTechnologies Consulting http://www.mactechnologies.com/ Need to develop, test, and refine regular expressions?
