I am stuck on making groupng sections in the RB Reports. I followed the database example built into RB and also the tutorial by BKeeney very closely, but my report is not grouping. I'm trying to make an expense report with categories grouped by ExpenseType (postage, advertising, etc). There is an field with ExpenseType as the Data Field in Group Header 1, and fields for date, amount, and description in the Body, but when the report runs, the data is not subgrouped into the different types. Just one type is listed at the top and all the expense data is listed below. There's nothing special needed for the SQL statement, right? Here's mine sql = "SELECT * FROM expenses WHERE YearName = '" + ReportScreen.txtCustomYear.Text + "' ORDER BY ExpenseType" What am I doing wrong? For anyone else who is having this issue with grouping, you need to select the GroupHeader on the far left side until it turns blue, then change the GroupByField property to the field.
