I've been building my software for 3 1/2 years with RS - I hold a current professional license for windows. My app runs perfectly in windows (even no flickering). However, RS decided to add alpha channels and expected everybody to embrace cocoa builds. Well, now building for intel or cocoa makes my app completely mac-unfriendly. I run a build for intel - it tells me that I cannot use alpha channels - only on cocoa. I use png's and I've checked all my graphical objects in photoshop and not one of them are using alpha channels - so I have no idea where this is coming from. However, before they introduced that, my app was working great when I built it for intel. So, you'd think that I would rebuild it for cocoa and it would be fixed. the answer is no - and it looks horrible to boot. First of all, it crashes like a mother - and it doesn't draw well. It seems that RS has given us a half-assed version which is full of bugs in cocoa - and we can't even use intel because the alpha channel so called feature locks us out. How does anybody else feel about this? Maybe somebody on RS will repsond and tell me 1)how to get around this alpha channel business (disable it) 2)When RS 2013 v1 is coming out (my license expires in 17 days) so I can debug what the heck is going on with all the crashes on mac. I can understand people build for mac having some problems with windows - but not the other way around. Plus... I am not using any dlls or other windows specific features in my app. Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
