All have a 4-character MacType, most have a 4-character MacCreator unique to my app, and all have a 3-or 4-character extension with leading period (I've tried both with and without the period, with the same results). The dialog box filter contains the expected and correctly-formatted string if I breakpoint just before opening the dialog. The OpenDialog file filtering works fine under a Windows target, but under MacOS, the first time, and only the first time, that the OpenDialog is opened, it always allows any and all files to be selected by the user. Subsequent opening of the same dialog via the same code results in correct filtering. I've verified that the filter string is identical on the first and subsequent OpenDialog calls. I've read scores of posts here on the subject of Open Dialog file filtering, and this seems to be something a lot of users have had trouble with, although I've not run across precisely this set of symptoms before. I'm running RS2012 r2.1 Pro under MacOS 10.6.8. The first OpenDialog or GetOpenFolderItem does not filter.
