Posts: 5 In my app (a simple word processor), I want the user to
be able to decide the main "top" folder where files will be written to and read
from and where sub-folders can be created.

I also, naturally want to save their choice in a plist - I am using MacCrafters.

Currently I am specifying the location e.g.....

dim MainDocs As FolderItem =
SpecialFolder.Desktop.Child("MyDocs").Child("Letters")

....and ensuring that if the folder does not exist that it is created but, like
I said, I want the user to choose where the "top" folder is i.e. "MyDocs".
This could be in a sub folder of the documents folder - or anywhere he/she
chooses.

Location: Guatemala, Central America Something like this?

dim f as FolderItem

f = SelectFolder()

if f = nil then
  exit
end if

MsgBox "Your top folder is: " + f.AbsolutePath

Or I didn't understand the question?
