Location: San Diego, CA                simple... when you are done with the 
database...

possible exception... on some remote databases, a persistent connection is 
frowned upon.... so you may need to open/close the database before and after 
major blocks of transactions....

But for a local database (SQLite).... open it in APP.OPEN... close it in 
APP.CLOSE
