I have a database in MS Access 2000 on a client that uses some fields with
accents, eg "Situação", but I can not change this database for reasons of
force majeure. I tried to change the encoding in the query but not getting
success. I wonder if anyone can help me because I need to use the field
"Situação" as a filter in a query.

I thank everyone in advance.

.convertencoding when sending to the database and .defineencoding when reading
from the database.

Also, after some tesing Encodings.ISOLatin1 was the enconding that worked best
for me.

try enclosing the field name in backticks "`".

where `Situação` = 'some value'

with no luck, perhaps it works in Access.
