observation.

I noted that developing using the Mac IDE is faster than on Windows, except for
saving the project. I am in the process of developing a rather complicated
application that will be cross-platform (Mac - Windows) and did a simple
compile timing test.

I compiled the project in Windows (Win7 64-bit running in WMware 5.0) and it
took about 32 seconds to compile. I did this test 3 times. Compile, quit app,
re-compile, quit app, re-compile. All times were within a second of each other
- 31 or 32 seconds plus some change.

I then compiled the same project on the Mac (Mountain Lion - latest patches)
and the first compile takes 29 seconds. Subsequent compiles took 11.2 seconds.
 WTF!

Is this normal and what is different on the Mac than on Windows? Incremental
compiles on the Mac but not on Windows?
