This may change as I need to write a pretty involved app for a company I contract for so I have been doing some reading and trying to catch up some. In reading back issues of REALStudio developer I saw where 2012r2 (I'm running 2012r2.1) was supposed to have "the new IDE". It looks like the old IDE to me so I assume the release date has slipped. So could you please get me up to date with when to expect: The new IDE Cocoa to no longer be beta the new pricing plan the new documentation And can also clear up a little personal confusion. Can I assume the IDE part is called REALStudio but the language itself is still REALBasic. How does this work? Thanks a lot for all of your help as you have already helped me with several issues to get back to the future... thanks, bill Top Bob Keeney Post subject: Re: New IDE and Cocoa BetaPosted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 4:21 pm Joined: Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:48 am Posts: 3465 Location: Lenexa, KS All the changes you mentioned will happen for the 2013 Release 1. It's in beta now. I would expect to see announcements and a release sometime around Real World (April 23). Yes, the IDE is Real Studio but the language is called REALbasic. At one point both were called REALbasic. _________________ Bob K.
