I was just wondering if anyone knows of any existing RB classes/examples for
generating random salted SHA-256 password hashes.

Thanks

Location: Germany We have a SHA256MBS class in our plugins.

You can simply salt by putting in a user specific value like the RecordID or
some random value you store in other column.

Greetings

Don't use something like recordID for the salt, use something more random and a
little longer and nothing that exists anywhere else in your database
Also, remember that you should NOT use the same salt for your hashes. They
should all be different.

If you don't want a plugin you can use OpenSSL to generate an SHA512 hash.
