I have created a Class... named classSEGMENT
the signature of the Constructor is
Constructor(xTYPE as integer, xORDER as integer, xxXML as string)

I am attempting to create an instance

SUB Add_Segment(xxXML as string)
  Dim temp As classSEGMENT
  xORDER=xORDER+1
  temp-New classSEGMENT(xType,xOrder,xxXML)
  If temp.SegType<0 Then
  MsgBox "ERROR!!!"+xxxml
  End If
END SUB

xORDER and xType are global and both are INTEGER

yet I get the below error

Code, classShape.Add_Segment, line 3, You have used an operator that is not
compatible with the data types specified, temp-New
classSEGMENT(xType,xOrder,xxXML)

I even tried
temp-New classSEGMENT(1,2,"A")

and compiler still choked.

And it is not code INSIDE the constructor (I commented it all out as a test)
and if I give it TOTALLY wrong datatypes

temp-New classSEGMENT("A","B","C")

I get THIS error instead.... which DOES makes sense

Code, classShape.Add_Segment, line 3, Parameters are not compatible with this
function, temp-New classSEGMENT("A","B","C") 'xType,xOrder,xxXML)

rather than -
 temp-New classSEGMENT(xType,xOrder,xxXML) should be
 temp=New classSEGMENT(xType,xOrder,xxXML)
