One idea I had was to have a little fun with Foursquare's API. Foursquare, like most popular web services, has an API but requires OAUTH authentication and communicating over SSL (https). >From what I understand, this can not be done with the personal edition. I >don't know if I want to spend another $200 to upgrade (or whatever the upgrade >price is) for some of my toy apps. I'd really like my desktop app to run on Mac and Windows. If this is true, is there a way around this that doesn't violate any license agreement with Real Software and not make my bank account shrink? I'm also a Java developer so I could probably do the networking stuff there but could I call that from RB? And would that be unethical? Trying to do the right thing here. Thanks.
