I have a user, however, that says she does not have this folder and the app gets installed in Program Files and it will not launch. Is there something I can tell her to do? She's running Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1. It is supposed to write the registration into a folder in ProgramData. Maybe that's the problem? I haven't had any issues with anyone before. I guess they all must have the (x86) folder. It doesn't get an x86 version. Program Files is not writable for your registration data. Save it to the registry, or to an ini file in SpecialFolder.ApplicationData (not ProgramData) Top pbesong Post subject: Re: No Program Files (x86) folder on Windows 7Posted: Thu Apr 11, 2013 3:34 pm Joined: Fri Dec 09, 2005 6:25 pm Posts: 353 Okay, thanks. I'll give that a try. Top pbesong Post subject: Re: No Program Files (x86) folder on Windows 7Posted: Thu Apr 11, 2013 8:14 pm Joined: Fri Dec 09, 2005 6:25 pm Posts: 353 That worked. Thanks! Now I think I need to figure out how to decide if the user has it installed in the (x86) folder or not. I guess I can test to see if it exists and if not send it to ApplicationData instead of SharedApplicationData which seems to work better for multiple users on one machine. If it has (x86) in it, then it would be a 64-bit system otherwise it will be 32-bit. _________________ SWORT⢠- Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux Mint 11 and Mac OSX Lion - REAL Studio Enterprise(latest) and WEB Edition(latest) - Plugins (MBS Complete, ToringoLib, Einhugur, VanHoek + Some open source plugins) For Dutch User Groups ask me to enter!
