I do not wish to spend £1, 000 on it, only to find that xojo will not install etc. Thanks. _________________ RealStudio Professional Edition 2012 r2 Developing on OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) Deploying on Windows XP / 7 / 8 Top timhare Post subject: Re: XPS 18 and XojoPosted: Sat Apr 27, 2013 11:41 pm Joined: Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:21 pm Posts: 12262 Location: Portland, OR USA Looks like it uses an Intel processor and Windows 8, so you should be ok. I have the Pre-release of Xojo working perfect on a dell xps 64 and toshiba 64 bit platform. Remember..32 bit applications can run on 64-bit and 128-bit processors (yes they exist but not in the public market) ...but 128 will not run on 32 or 64 bit, 64 will run on 128 bit but not 32 bit.. Easily, if the bit range of the application fits into the processor bit range (even if in multiples) it will run. It all comes down to bytecode, memory addresses and the ability of a pointer to access the memory address Linux may issue segfaults if the needed libraries are not installed (ie to run 32 bit applications on a 64 bit platform). _________________ Matthew A.
