Posts: 8                Hi All,

I see in the new version 2012r2, there is a new Crypto Module.  In addition, I 
can see in the documentation that it can be used for encryption.  I do not see 
any methods that provide decryption of strings that have been encrypted with 
the crypto module.  Am I missing something?  It can only be used for 
encryption, but not decryption?

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA                I'm still on 2011r4 but the 
documentation is incorrect when it says it can encrypt data: all the documented 
methods are hash functions, which are related to but very different from 
encryption, and generally can't be reversed.
