Location: The Netherlands I'm writing a program that uses a
local database that will be sitting on a memory stick for portability. The
database on this stick will be used at home on an iMac with OS X and it will be
used "in the field" on a netbook with Windows 7. Both machines will be reading
from and writing to the database on this memory stick.

Can I expect problems with this setup?

formatted the way it is regardless of OS, and you can compile for Win32 and OS
X.

such a way that both can deal with it.

The stick will be formatted as FAT I guess. The database won't be huge.

databases are fully cross-platform.

File I/O on USB sticks is usually pretty poor, though.
