Is there a way to scale the SHAPE, but leave the Linewidth at its original thickness? (without reprocessing all the internal shape pieces) The interesting this is... if you scale it SMALLER, the system does not mess with linewidth (ie.. min=1 regardless).... I want (max=x) where I decide what x is. _________________ Dave Sisemore iMac I7[2012], OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 RB2012r2.1 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top Karen Post subject: Re: Group2DPosted: Mon May 06, 2013 9:58 pm Joined: Fri Sep 30, 2005 8:53 am Posts: 999 DaveS wrote:I am going to assume this cannot be done You are right... Im not sure thats true.. you may just be seeing it trying to make sure something is visible when rendered on screen. It may make a difference at higher DPI settings. But if not, why not play it at its own game? Create the objects at 4 times the size to start with, and scale them down most of the time. When you go back up to "4 times size" (ie original) then your lines will be 1 pixel Top DaveS Post subject: Re: Group2DPosted: Tue May 07, 2013 12:11 am Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:46 am Posts: 4845 Location: San Diego, CA Can't accuratly do that...... The "shape" is placed on a grid by the user... The user then can change the ACTUAL size of the shape by grabbing "drag handles".... and/or they can zoom in/out ..... plus the user decides how "thick" the linewidth is. So I guess the best I can do it take the "desired" line width, and divide it by the scale factor clamping it at a minmum value of 1 and live with that. That is "closer", but not 100%.... right now if they select LW=9, then I get 36 wide when scaled,. this way I can set it to 9/4 which would be 2, that scaled to 400% is 8 (close to 9... closer by far than 36 is) _________________ Dave Sisemore iMac I7[2012], OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 RB2012r2.1 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescending Page 1 of 1 [ 4 posts ] -- Over 1500 classes with 29000 functions in one REALbasic plug-in collection.
