I have a canvas that I can't manipulate the width for. I can successfully control the width from the width property on the window graphical view, but I can't using the canvas active event of me.width = or self.width= (Neither do anything). I have many other canvases in my app that aren't doing this so I must have something different with it. I keep checking for differences, but I can't see them. Any advice is always appreciated! Thank you Mike _________________ Mike Cotrone - CCIE #8411 R&S, CCIE #8411 Voice Chief Technology Officer Onepath Systems, LLC Real Studio 2012 R2.1 Enterprise, Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu Linux Top Jason_Adams Post subject: Re: Basic Canvas Width Property QuestionPosted: Mon May 06, 2013 8:33 am Joined: Fri Nov 10, 2006 4:10 pm Posts: 1815 Location: Michigan, USA Can you show the code in context where you're trying to change the width? Are you overriding the width property somewhere (e.g. local variable, subclass property, etc.)? Also, you're manipulating it in the Window.Activate event? Are you aware how often this event gets raised? (Maybe you do, I'm just checking.) I'm sure we'll figure it out. _________________ Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Windows XP Pro SP3 Ubuntu 11.04 via Virtual Box RS Enterprise 2012r1.1 Programming Tutorials & Free Projects: http://www.JasonTheAdams.com "Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried." - G.K. I have tried to put canvas1.width in the window1.activate/window1.open with same results. I have also tried me.width under Canvas1.Activate/Canvas1.open with the same results. The only width adjustment that works right now is under the graphical window view where I click on Canvas1 and modify it's width property there. _________________ Mike Cotrone - CCIE #8411 R&S, CCIE #8411 Voice Chief Technology Officer Onepath Systems, LLC Real Studio 2012 R2.1 Enterprise, Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu Linux Top timhare Post subject: Re: Basic Canvas Width Property QuestionPosted: Mon May 06, 2013 11:35 am Joined: Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:21 pm Posts: 12295 Location: Portland, OR USA Make sure you have the Lock properties unchecked.
