Does someone have a set of points that define such a shape? _________________ Dave Sisemore iMac I7[2012], OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 RB2012r2.1 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top mikecotrone Post subject: Re: Simple Cloud ShapePosted: Fri May 17, 2013 12:22 am Joined: Tue Mar 05, 2013 2:33 pm Posts: 60 Location: Greensboro, North Carolina DaveS wrote:I need a simple cloud shape (think text balloon) as a FigureShape using only 1st order Curveshapes (yeah a lot of restrictions I know) I have tried but cannot come up with a set of points that work... and its a lot of trial and error... I assume you decided not to use a cloud image with drawpicture for a reason with your app. This is very interesting to me as I am a Visio expert user for the last 12 years. Great job! _________________ Mike Cotrone - CCIE #8411 R&S, CCIE #8411 Voice Chief Technology Officer Onepath Systems, LLC Real Studio 2012 R2.1 Enterprise, Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu Linux Top doofus Post subject: Re: Simple Cloud ShapePosted: Fri May 17, 2013 1:57 am Joined: Thu Sep 10, 2009 2:50 am Posts: 411 Location: Santa Cruz, CA, USA Made a real simple editor and traced a cloud image from this page http://www.hanselman.com/blog/ThereIsOnlyOneCloudIconInTheEntireUniverse.aspx Here's the coords I ended up with and building them into a figureshape dim pntsX() As integer = Array(113, 270, 439, 511, 525, 532, 465, 468, 373, 247, 184, 133, 94, 67, 76, 19, 28, 40, 113) dim pntsY() As integer = Array(379, 379, 379, 367, 295, 227, 192, 89, 45, 7, 119, 89, 124, 151, 194, 230, 295, 365, 379) dim f As new FigureShape for i As integer = 0 to pntsX.Ubound - 1 step 2 f.AddQuad(pntsX(i), pntsY(i), pntsX(i+2), pntsY(i+2), pntsX(i+1), pntsY(i+1)) next g.DrawObject(f) Top DaveS Post subject: Re: Simple Cloud ShapePosted: Fri May 17, 2013 7:01 am Joined: Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:46 am Posts: 4882 Location: San Diego, CA mikecotrone wrote:DaveS wrote:I Dave are you drawing one to use for a WAN cloud in you app? Exactly what I am doing.... by using a Figureshape it is scaleable with minimum loss in precsion ... sample screen [LOTS of work still to go] Doofus.... Thanks.... I will see what it takes to adapt that to my shape control class... but it should not be difficult _________________ Dave Sisemore iMac I7[2012], OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 RB2012r2.1 Note : I am not interested in any solutions that involve custom Plug-ins of any kind Top mikecotrone Post subject: Re: Simple Cloud ShapePosted: Fri May 17, 2013 7:49 am Joined: Tue Mar 05, 2013 2:33 pm Posts: 60 Location: Greensboro, North Carolina DaveS wrote:mikecotrone wrote:DaveS wrote:I Dave are you drawing one to use for a WAN cloud in you app? I would love to take it for a spin some time when you are in alpha or beta.
