Posts: 7 I have been trying for the last two days to get the
buttons and text I have on a webpage to stay in place when the browser is
resized.

Looking through pasts post I see two options:

1) use the lock in place options, these do not work.

2) add to a web container than put web container on page. I cannot get this to
work either.

Can someone please give me a step by step instruction on how to do this?

Location: Sydney Australia When ever I design a WE app I do the
following (this is not the only way just a way that works for me);

1/ I use a rectangle as a border around my content. The rectangle is locked
top, bottom, left and right to ensure no matter the dimensions of the browser
the border remains. I find about 50-75 pixels left to right and 10-25 top to
bottom works well and looks attractive. Use a decent minimum size here as
scroll bars will still enable the user to move around without it looking
squashed up.

2/ Try to separate your content into three columnar zones eg left 1/3 middle
1/3 and right 1/3. Anything on the left 1/3 is locked top and left. Middle 1/3
is locked top left and right. This has the effect of stretching it out (more on
this in point 3). right is locked right and top.

3/ Middle 1/3 content I usually place objects like a map viewer. It does not
matter i it gets stretched out on a wide screen people can still use the
additional space to move around in the map.

4/ Containers can be used to group or reuse common objects but they can also be
stretched and the way positioning is set within the container will affect what
it will look like. This is useful for middle 1/3 columns where you need a
little more flexibility in where the objects sit. You can use the same 1/3
column approaches within the container.

5/ I rarely use horizontal or vertical alignments unless I have a heading at
the top or a container I wanted to center. In this case I use top and
horizontal.

Posts: 7 Ok so I added a rectangle but the buttons and text
already on the page will not lock to it and I cannot set it as a parent? This
is all so easy in the regular real studio but seems to be a major pain in the
web version. I don't get it.

Maybe an idea of layout would help. I am designing an experiment. The first
page is consent. It consists of a block of text and two buttons. I would like
the text centered at center of screen and have the two buttons locked under the
text to either its left or right hand margin depending on the button.
