Larry,

Two other things:

1. The rotated label was centered vertically and horizontally in the page style band
2. My resolution is set to 1280x1024. I bring this up because it may behave differently at lower resolutions.

Sorry to take so long in responding - I've been away from the office a few days.

Yes, I am using an image.

To test your scenario, I did this:

1. Create a new report, based on a view, using the default portrait orientation
2. Make the page header static height, about 4.5"
3. Draw a line across the page at the bottom of the page header for reference
4. Place two db labels in the detail band
5. Reduce the page footer and report footer bands to 0"
6. Create a page style band, set it to 7.5" height
7. Place a rotated label on the page style band, set font to Arial 14 bold italic, color a mid-tone blue, rotate to 45 degrees
8. Adjust the page header height so that the bottom of the first character in the rotated label just touches the line in the page header (based on preview mode)
9. Run the report from the db explorer to the screen

The label is positioned precisely where it is in the preview.

How do you do it? I'm using a rotated label, and my
experience is that the on screen preview and printed
output are different when there is a page or group
header at the top of the page.

It works OK when the watermark is done with an Image
component.

If you wouldn't mind trying it with a rotated label
and a large page header, I wouldn't mind the
confirmation.
