I have a similar situation. I now have a form that calls the LoadFileName.rbl routine. Brings up a list of all files that I want to download. Click on desired file, which loads the name into a variable. Next routine opens the file and processes it (e.g. load data directly from file into table using load command). More than happy to unload that particular form (7.1) and send it to you.
I also have the same logic in version 6.5 Cheers Frank -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bernard Lis Sent: Thursday, 1 July 2004 12:38 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [RBG7-L] - Capturing the DIR command I want to display the file name and date on a diskette in order to display it to make sure the operator inserts the correct disk. I can do zip cmd /c dir a: > xx and xx will contain what you get by doing dir a: at a command prompt. But I can't seem to correctly load a table with the data. Anyone have any other ideas how i can display the file name and date?
